Having a problem with your iPhone 4S’s rapidly draining battery even under iOS 5.0.1? Take your complaints to Apple’s official support forums, not the police. A 48-year-old man from Bristol, Illinois is now in police custody after calling 911 five times to belly-ache about his broken iPhone.

It’s not exactly clear what was wrong with Michael Alan Skopec’s iPhone, but he apparently called police emergency operators five times in the middle of the night on Wednesday.

Cops traced the calls to Skopec’s home and arrested him around 1AM when he refused to comply with deputies’ orders. He was charged with obstructing or resisting a police officer, which is a misdemeanor. He’s due in court November 18th to face the charges.

For me, the best part of this story is how casually the police mention that he was intoxicated when they arrived. You don’t say. You mean to tell me a man calling 911 repeatedly about a busted iPhone in the middle of the night turned out to be drunk? If this story hadn’t involved Skopec kissing the worm at the end of the tequila bottle, I would have been stupefied.
