The Cupertino City Council has released a touching video tribute to Steve Jobs that was created by city employees. The video was posted to the City Council’s YouTube channel today, and includes footage of Steve at council meetings pitching the new Apple campus, in addition to a number of photographs.

On its website, the Cupertino City Council wrote the following:

The Cupertino City Council meeting was adjourned in memory of Steve Jobs on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. The city is in the process of reviewing the new Apple Campus 2 headquarters project, which was Mr. Jobs’ vision. This video was developed by city staff as a tribute to Mr. Jobs.

Steve Jobs founded Apple, along with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne, in a garage in Cupertino, California, back in 1976. The company has been headquartered there ever since, and the city is now home to tens of thousands of Apple employees in over 30 buildings. Apple’s new “Spaceship” campus will bring 10,000 of those employees together.

The City Council’s video is a fitting tribute to one of its finest residents.
