The cloud is getting crowded. Although just one week old, Apple’s iCloud has 20 million users, the Cupertino, Calif. tech giant announced Monday. iCloud, allowing users to sync all of their Apple devices, becomes the latest example of the company’s vaunted ‘halo effect’ keeping consumers close to the brand.

Available on the Mac, all iOS devices and Windows, iCloud’s introduction last week may have been overshadowed by the launch of iOS 5 and the start of sales for the iPhone 4S. Earlier today, Apple announced 25 million people have adopted the latest version of iOS and 4 million iPhone 4S handsets were sold during the first weekend of its availability.

The combination of all three products launching together are “significant upgrades to Apple’s mobile platform & in our opinion, should help continue to drive additional hardware sales due to Apple’s ‘halo-effect,’ UBS analyst Maynard Um told investors Monday.
