Sony's iPod Features Wi-Fi Streaming

Sony Wednesday introduced two iPod speaker docks with Wi-Fi streaming. The NAS-Z200iR (shown) includes a hand-held remote allowing media to also stream from your PC, PlayStation 3 or the Internet.

Along with Wi-Fi streaming, the networked Sony unit includes  a CD player, AM/FM radio plus USB inputs.

A more streamlined unit, the CMT-Z100iR, provides what’s described as a “stealth” display, providing rear access to controls.

The CMT-Z100iR , available in black or white, includes two 20-watt speakers. The unit will be available within a month and is scheduled to arrive in Europe in mid-September. No word on when the units will appear in the U.S.

I bought something similar from Sony for my kitchen. It sits on a high shelf with my old iPod Mini that can’t hold a charge for long. Pretty good deal. Music while you clean dishes.
