This is GhostGuitar, the air guitar application all you part-time rockers have been waiting for.
Prop your iPad 2 up on the table in front of you, and it uses the front-facing camera to follow your hands as you strum and fret-scratch in thin air. Once you have it set up, all you have to do is match your fingers to the approximate markers on screen. You’ll be playing a tune in no time.
There’s a lot of extras packed into this app too. You can choose from a selection of guitar sounds, and there are lots of mixer effects and pedals you can activate to tune things just the way you like ’em.
So you can play soft and acoustic, or loud and grungy. Whatever you like. You can even record your performances and torment the rest of the world with them.

GhostGuitar is a great idea, lots of fun to play with whether you’re a kid or an adult who never grew up, and offers excellent value for money at just two dollars.
