Apple has announced the date for its Q4 2011 earnings call to investors. The Cupertino company will hold its financial conference call on October 18th for the fourth fiscal quarter.

Q4 of 2011 ended on Saturday, September 24th. After stellar results in Q3 of 2011, Apple is expected to do just as well, if not better, in its results for the fourth quarter.

“Apple’s conference call webcast discussing Q4 – 2011 financial results will begin at 2:00pm PT/5:00pm ET on Tuesday, October 18, 2011.

Please note that comments made during this call may include forward-looking statements that are subject to risks and uncertainties, and that actual results may differ materially from these forward-looking statements. For more information on the factors that could influence results, please refer to Apple’s SEC filings.”

In Q3, Apple sold 20.34 million iPhones (a 142% year over year increase), 9.25 million iPads (a 183% year over year increase), and 3.95 million Macs (a 14% year over year increase). The only product to take a nosedive in sales was the iPod, selling 7.54 million units (a 20% year over year decrease). Apple’s Q3 overall revenue reached a staggering $24.9 billion.

In the next earnings call, we don’t expect much iPhone 5-related sales numbers. Although it is very likely that Apple will report (and brag) about its sales numbers for the iPhone 5’s launch weekend. This earnings call will also provide insight into how Apple sales have fared over the summer with the introduction of updated products like the MacBook Air.

Stay tuned to Cult of Mac for the news on Apple’s sales for Q4. The call is set to take place at 2:00pm PT on Tuesday, October 18th.
