Radio-Shack-shows-Verizon-iPhone-4

Following its move to shun T-Mobile and begin selling Verizon devices instead, a screenshot from Radio Shack’s internal system reveals the retailer is set to begin selling the CDMA model of Apple’s iPhone, and its iPad 2, from September 15.

The iPad 2 will only be available from select Radio Shack locations, according to 9to5 Mac, who obtained the screenshot, and it seems only the black iPhone 4 will be available. The move comes just weeks before Apple is expected to announce a fifth-generation iPhone, and could be sign of things to come, according to 9to5’s report:

When Apple released the 8GB version of the iPhone 3GS alongside the 16GB and 32GB iPhone 4, they immediately removed the 16GB and 32GB iPhone 3GS models from the iPhone lineup. If Radio Shack landing the 16GB and 32GB Verizon iPhone 4 has anything to do with Apple’s future iPhone plans – which may seem unlikely to some – we’re not too sure what to think about the 8GB iPhone 4 rumor.

If that 8GB iPhone 4 rumor really is true, why would Radio Shack bother introducing the 16GB and 32GB iPhone 4 just weeks before it becomes discontinued. Is this a sign of things to come, or are we just looking a little too far into it?
