A FedEx driver was arrested for forging signatures on iPad deliveries and selling the stolen goods.
In a two-month period, police in Jennings, Louisiana say that FedEx driver Michael Wright scribbled the John Hancocks on the documents for iPad deliveries. Then he sold those magical tablets to a businessman named Shannon Guillory for $200 each.
Wright, 31, was charged with 20 felony counts — 14 counts of theft of merchandise over $500 and 6 for the forgeries. Of the 14 iPads nicked, six have been recovered. One was reportedly given away.
Guillory, 31, racked up 13 counts of illegal possession of stolen goods in the episode and was released on bail.
No word on how they were caught — perhaps those irate almost-iPad owners raised cain with Apple?
