Apple Confirms iCloud Web Apps, But It’s End-Of-Line For iWeb, Gallery and iDisk

Apple has just published a new transition guide for MobileMe customers looking forward to switching to iCloud.

The good news? Apple has confirmed that you’ll still get access to web apps for iCloud Mail, Contracts, Calendar and Find My iPhone. The bad? Say goodbye to iWeb, Gallery and iDisk.

Here’s the wording that Apple uses to confirm web apps:

Will I be able to access iCloud services on the web?

Yes. Web access to iCloud Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Find My iPhone will be available at icloud.com this fall.

In addition, Apple reiterates that all existing MobileMe services should stay around until June 30th, 2012. That said, even if you transition to iCloud as soon as it becomes available, you’ll at least be able to continue accessing your iWeb, Gallery and iDisk until next year. Time to start looking for another host for your web sites, photo galleries and files.
