Now that WWDC is over for another year and we’ve put all the excitement behind us, this coming week is going to be a little dull without something good to keep us entertained. Thankfully, our list must-have games is here to help. This week’s roundup features Dream:scape — the latest eye-popping game to use Epic Games’ Unreal Engine; 1000 Heroz which promises a new adventure every day you play; plus more great titles that are guaranteed to please.

Dream:scape($2.99) Universal — Games

Dream:scape doesn’t like to call itself a game, but rather “an immersive interactive experience — an explorable novel that makes you the main character.” You take on the persona of Wilson, a man caught in the limbo between life and death, reconstructing his past via the dreamscape of his memories. You must find the tools to overcome the Guardians of Memories and reveal the buried secrets that will shed new light on a decades-old mystery. Dream:scape features jaw-dropping 3D visuals and a superbly absorbing adventure.

1000 Heroz  — ($0.99) iPhone / ($1.99) iPad — Games

1000 Heroz is a unique combination of racing and platforming, with a brand new adventure and a brand new hero every day you play. Your mission is to get to the end of each level as quickly as possible, attempting to beat other players on each of the global leaderboards. There is a brand new level every day for 1000 days, with over three years of gaming to enjoy! If that’s not enough, you can create custom leagues in which you can challenge your friends. 1000 Heroz promises to be like nothing you’ve ever played, and we think you’ll love it.

Rocket Bunnies — ($0.99) iPhone / ($2.99) iPad — Games

Help the intrepid Rocket Bunny feed his friends by guiding him through the universe in his rocket ship, avoiding explosive mines, space spiders, and other interstellar hazards. Collect power-ups, dive through black holes, and escape giant space-spider webs on your mission to feed every hungry bunny in the universe. Featuring 60 levels across 2 galaxies of addictive arcade gameplay, with simple one-touch controls and impressive visuals.

Hanging With Friends — ($1.99) iPhone — Games

From the creators of Words With Friends comes Hanging With Friends a new twist on the classic game of Hangman, which boasts creativity, strategy, and plenty of fun. Create mystery words in an attempt to stump, amuse or impress your friends, and be prepared to flex those brain muscles when it’s your turn to take on the challenge. Featuring turn-based gameplay that allows you to have up to 20 games running simultaneously, the ability to link up with friends or take on a random opponent, in-game chat messages, and push notifications that let you know when it’s your turn to play. If you thought Hangman was dead and buried, you have to try Hanging With Friends.

Hard Lines($0.99) iPhone — Games

Hard Lines is a mesmerising game of skill and reflexes in which you guide a “plucky underdog hero” called Lionel on his mission to “kill all lines, puck up lovely glowy things, fight for survival (in SPAAAAAACE!),” and most importantly, avoid crashing into a glowing neon wreck. It promises to be the funniest game you’ll ever play in which a glowing yellow line is the main character, and we have to agree. In addition to its simple gameplay mechanic, Hard Lines is brilliantly entertaining, with 6 fast and frantic game modes, bright neon graphics, and a retro soundtrack.
